Bachelor of Sciences — Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (m/f/d) is the new training program at d.velop Life Sciences.
As of 09/01/2021, d.velop Life Sciences offers places on a new integrated training study program. The “Bachelor of Sciences — Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (m/f/d)” training takes place in the form of a dual study program at the very renowned FH Aachen (study location Cologne). This means that the trainee will be qualified as a mathematical-technical software developer (MATSE) within three years at d.velop Life Sciences and at the Cologne campus of the Aachen University of Applied Sciences and at the same time take the bachelor’s degree program “Applied Mathematics and Computer Science”.
The trainee learns the theoretical principles for solving practical problems and applies his/her theoretical knowledge in various hands-on projects in the company. The integrated study program at the FH Aachen combines mathematical methodological competence with software development skills and offers numerous career opportunities.
“We see the new dual training program as a good way to counteract the acute shortage of IT specialists. For many years, we have focused on the internal training of specialists in various IT professions, such as IT specialists or IT business administrators. Our goal is the long-term employment of qualified employees in our company”, says Thilo Gukelberger, managing director of d.velop Life Sciences.
Since the training and the study programs are perfectly coordinated in terms of time and content, it is possible to obtain two degrees in three years (36 months): “Mathematical-Technical Software Developer” and “Bachelor of Sciences — Applied Mathematics and Computer Science”.
